Community Action in Italy!

On September 14th, in the frame of the Mediterranean music and art festival Annacamuni 2.0, we played the fraternity card in Mussomeli, at the headquarters of Strauss APS . In Sicily, the activities of the BEST project were realized at educational institutions, involving students in creative writing and image analysis workshops that led to an exchange of postcards with the rest of Europe.

Discrimination, migration, poverty and volunteering were the issues addressed, which gave new life to the promotion of global citizenship education.

Driven by new awareness, students gave concrete answers to real needs in the community: a bookcrossing corner was installed in Mussomeli, one of the very few in Sicily and the first in the town, so that solidarity could also be browsed through the pages of books, to ensure unlimited, inclusive, and impartial access to culture and education. A clear and concrete action for the common good.
