After 2 European editions, more than 250 000 postcards sent, Let’s play the fraternity project comes to an end on the 30th November 2019. To conclude these 3 years project, Representants from the four partner’s organizations, La Ligue de l’enseignement (France), Cives (Spain), Center for Peace studies (Croatia), School with class Foundation (Poland) gathered in Paris on the 21st and 22th November.
France, the starting point of the project in 2002 was chosen for the final meeting of “Let’s play the fraternity card”. The 4 project partners met in Paris to review the project implementation, its impacts and discussed its renewal.
Polish, Croatian and Spanish teachers as well as 2 photographers from last edition were present. During a dedicated workshop, Teachers discussed about the discriminations that they encounter in schools. Sexism, racism, body-shaming are some of the many discriminations present in school. This issue represents a huge challenge for teacher and seems to become even more important. Indeed, political contexts increase tensions inside the population which are reflected among pupils in schools. They have also shared their concerns about the loss of autonomy of teachers in some countries.
Another workshop were organized for teachers and photographers to discuss the project implementation. Their feedbacks were overall extremely positive. Nevertheless some difficulties have been identified and the participants have given some ideas for further improvements of the project.
Good news! This project is being renewed. Thanks to a new Erasmus+ cofinancing, 2 european editions of the fraternity cards are already planned for 2021 and 2022 with two partners joining the adventure, Humanitas (Slovenia) and Arci (Italy).
In the meantime stay tuned! You can follow the preparation of these next editions on the website and on the Instagram page.
