Inclusion: this is how it works!

"Writing to an unknown recipient was an incentive to express oneself in freedom, without the thought of being judged." This is how Prof. Dugini recounts the experience of the Build European Solidarity Today: Let's replay the fraternity card! project experienced by the students of the prison school of the Dogaia Prison House in Prato. This is precisely the case when the title of a project materializes: playing the fraternity card because the plate on the counter is a Europe that includes, that gives a chance for participation to those who are discriminated against. The students, thanks to this whiff of Europe, have accepted the challenge of feeling, above all in detention, participatory and active in and of a better, inclusive Europe. The prison, in fact, by welcoming the winds of internationalization through the exchange of postcards has contributed to the construction of a Europe that aims to defend freedom and dignity as a human being. The students in fact, despite and beyond the crime committed were able through the words and reflections that thanks to the creative writing and image analysis workshops arose, to be part of a world they currently experience only as spectators.
