In the past two decades, the number of diagnosed mental health disorders and suicides among children and adolescents has increased significantly. The COVID-19 pandemic has sparked a wider discussion of children and adolescents’ mental wellbeing. Anxiety and social isolation have resulted in young people reporting mental health issues 30-80% more often than adults.

How do we deal with this issue in the BEST project? We would like to create a safety space for a discussion. We believe that school can be a place where children and teenagers can find somebody to talk about their problems and in effect, a professional help. One of the photos which we propose in this edition concerns the mental health issue. We believe that it can be an excuse to talk about that topic in class.
