Students decided what the project will look like

Six new photos for the latest edition of the SAY project were selected by students! Each year, we collaborate with photographers from Poland, France, Spain, Italy, Slovenia, and Croatia to choose photos related to important social issues such as discrimination, racism, and mental health challenges. From a pre-selection of photos, students aged 12 to 25 voted for their favorites, which are then included in the project. The variety of photography is impressive, featuring images taken in a neighborhood in Warsaw as well as in a refugee camp in Western Sahara.
How Will the Photos Be Used?
The next step is to create a toolkit for teachers and educators to lead workshops with students, using photo analysis as a core activity. At the end of the school year, students will write a short message on a postcard featuring one of the chosen photos and send it to an unknown recipient.
How Many People Voted?
This year, nearly 800 young people from six European countries cast their votes, a significant increase compared to last year’s total of just over 300 votes. We are thrilled to see so many students engaged in our project!
