Testing the BEST methodology with SOLIDAR members

During the last week, Centre for Peace Studies hosted an international study visit for our partners the SOLIDAR Foundation bringing together experts and practitioners from 11 countries on the topic of Education for democratic societies. This visit was a chance to discuss the importance of different strands of education like Peace Education and Global Citizenship Education working towards a common goal - empowering citizens, strengthening the democratic participation and building more just and sustainable societies. Besides discussions and sharing experience, good practices of GCE were also shared - we presented BEST and together with the participants tried out a part of the BEST methodology as an incentive to talk about the situation with GCE in our countries. The work on photo analyses was referred to as quite interesting and participants got really engaged in their group work!
