Traninng sessions for teachers in France

As part of the SAY project, some local federations of the Ligue de l’Enseignement have provided training for volunteer teachers in their area to help them get involved with the project.

These training sessions give teachers the chance to gain a better understanding of SAY and its European context, grasp the educational and civic goals, create a logical sequence from the workshops in the educational materials, and connect with other teachers participating in the project in the same region. It is also during these sessions that the photographs for the edition are revealed and explained, each linked to a specific theme.

In some federations, an artist may be involved in the project: teachers can meet the artist and learn when and how to use the tools from the educational materials in relation to the artist’s work. This adds a comprehensive dimension to an artistic and cultural education project, as children can meet an artist and take part in practical workshops!
