This week, la Ligue de l’Enseignement hosted a training session focused on leading projects within the artistic and cultural education field. Over three days, cultural project managers from various regions of France participated in workshops, attended theater performances tailored for children, and exchanged insights on Arts and Cultural Education initiatives.

Among the showcased projects was “Solidarity is about youth” in a southwestern French department, involving 10 classes throughout the academic year. In this context, teachers benefited from a 3-hour training session on effectively utilizing the toolkit in their classroom and hosting artists. In addition, students engaged in image-reading sessions and writing workshops to prepare for creating and sending postcards. They also participated in three 2-hour artistic workshops leaded by a designated artist during the year, Mélanie Trugeon, a photographer who incorporates fine arts.

At the end of the year, the 10 classes convened for a day to share their project experiences and showcase their work. Furthermore, a website was created to showcase the students’ artistic works.

The purpose of presenting this experience was to inspire other members of la Ligue to adopt and enhance the “Solidarity is about youth” project, encouraging its expansion and enrichment.
