Ttraining sessions with teachers within BEST Project

These weeks we have held the first training sessions with teachers on critical analysis of images and creation of texts. Thanks to the active participation of the teachers who attended, we had a very enjoyable and reflective session on the power of images in our society and the importance of having spaces for reflection where we can jointly build a critical view of the audio-visual avalanche to which we are subjected as a society.
The sessions were developed in a dynamic way, with an introductory part, a division into working groups for the analysis of the photographs and techniques for the creation of texts, focused on making students reflect on the issues of social relevance reflected in the selected images: climate change, feminism, interculturality and migrations, mental health, intergenerational solidarity.
Afterwards, we all got together again to share the analyses of each group and to open a round of contributions, and then we continued to collectively deepen our understanding of meaning and semiotics.
These trainings complement the work developed in the pedagogical guide, to support teachers in carrying out these reflection processes in schools with students.
The sessions have been recorded and are available as a resource at this link.
