Fraternity Card presented at the European Education Fair in Paris

After a three-year joint adventure, the 'Let's play fraternity card in Europe' project came to its' finale - a public exhibition and presentation at the Education fair hosted by La Ligue de l'enseignement at the Porte de Versailles Paris Expo! The study visit to Paris brought together teachers and photographers from Croatia, Spain, France and Poland within the Erasmus+ programme.
There was no better place to finish the project then on the Education Fair in Paris, France, the country where it all began. As we all know, Let's play fraternity card was originally designed in 2002 in France by La ligue de L'enseignement and has since been conducted every year in France as an educational response to growing negative social trends including racism and exclusion. In 2017 this educational action spread and gained an European dimension by including schools and organisations from Croatia, Poland and Spain.
At the final event which took place at Paris Expo, where several thousand students came to be part of the European Education Fair, we presented our international exhibition, our project and organised a round table on social responsibility of photography. Interesting points were raised during the round table on how photography can help empower those marginalised and/or powerless, how it can pressure politics and reinforce the struggle for equality and human rights.
Teachers from partner countries also had an active role at the event - they participated in an interactive game that gave them the opportunity to analyse new photos for next years edition of Jouons la carte de la fraternité and write their messages of solidarity and fraternity.
